Exactly what ClipsX keeps on your device—and the narrow role an optional account plays.
Start with the clipboard
A clipboard can contain credentials, private conversations, customer data, and unfinished work. ClipsX therefore treats captured content as device-owned canonical data. Files, OCR, search indexes, embeddings, provider configuration, and permission grants follow that boundary.
An account is optional
The desktop product works without an account. When you sign in, the current sync protocol covers selected settings and reviewed extension intent. It does not turn clipboard history into cloud storage.
